Error while exporting the excel file

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I am getting error while exporting the excel file.
Error While preparing excel sheet. 500 The call failed on the server, see
server log for details.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
export the excel file but I am getting error.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TOMCAT 6.1.
Please provide any additional information below.

Error 500 means a server error.
Did you checked the log as suggested.
It is probably a ClassNotFoundException
