GeoNetwork Metadata Record

Goal
Create a metadata record on the GeoNetwork with the relevant information and that references the GeoServer webservice.
Tasklist
- Copy similar existing metadata record
- Fill in information that is available
- Reference WMS and WFS
- Publish
Success Criteria
We have created a metadata record on the GeoNetwork catalogue. This references the GeoServer. Once tested, it is published to the NZODN.
Glenn suggested a similar metadata record to copy. I created a copy of this record as the template for the Biological dataset record. Then I changed the URL details to reference the WMS and WFS for the layer I have created on GeoServer.
Suzi has sent me the coordinates for the bounding box for this dataset. We have entered these into the record. Initially, we thought these coordinates were incorrect, as the bounding box went across the entire globe. This appears to be a limitation of the GeoServer GUI. It cannot render bounding boxes that cross the 180 ° line.
As an Editor on GeoNetwork, I do not have the relevant permissions to publish this record. There is no production server for the NZODN project. However, Susi is an administrator, so she has the relevant permissions to publish the record. Once the record is published, it will show up on the NZODN. From there we can test the functionality of the Biological dataset.
Also, I do not have all of the relevant metadata information to fill out the details for this dataset. Perhaps Suzi or Dave may be able to fill in the additional metadata requied.
Susi has updated the metadata record to include all of the relevant information. She does not want to publish the record to NZODN until the zip file has been updated. The metadata record remains untouched by changes to its backend components.
