Hello,

EOSIO version 1.8.5 and 1.8.6 have been released. Meanwhile wax is still based on 1.8.4. Are there any plans to upgraded to latest?

Hi! we don't have plans to upgrade to 1.8.5(6). We are focusing on new features like standby rewards and the release of version 2.0.

Too bad. I anticipate there will be a 1.8.7 coming before 2.0.0 which will fix issues block producers (wax guilds) are having on test networks where nodeos binary stops syncing blocks. Would be good to be ready to apply that when available.

Could you outline the maintenance policies for how decisions are made as to when to update code to latest block-one codebase?

Hi @matthewdarwin For something that offers a significant fix like the one coming in 1.8.7 we will certainly consider upgrading to that version directly.
