[QA] WalletConnect pop-up opens with a delay

Describe the current behavior in detail

Checked on https://deploy-preview-2080--wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/ [Mainnet] with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and Google Chrome Version 124.0.6367.208 (Official Build) (arm64).

Steps:

  1. Select Avalanche network as source chain
  2. Click on "Connect wallet" button
  3. Select "WalletConnect" option

Actual result: WalletConnect pop-up opens with a delay
Expected result: WalletConnect pop-up opens immediately.

Issue is not reproducible on https://wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/ or https://portalbridge.com/.

Reproducible on https://deploy-preview-2113--wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/ [Mainnet]. The WalletConnect pop-up opens with a 15-second delay.

Issue is not reproducible on https://portalbridge.com/ and wormhole-connect-mainnet. WalletConnect pop-up opens immediately after clicking on "WalletConnect" option.
