[New Setting] Keep width of text field constant

I prefer writing with a fixed width. Currently, when opening the side bar or using the thesaurus, the width of the text input field is adjusted to accommodate these other fields. If there were a setting to keep the text field width constant, ignoring other fields/windows, that would be amazing.

I second this suggestion.
In WM2 it was possible to toggle the sidebar with a hotkey, and not interfere with existing text width at all. I'd love to see a similar behavior in WM3.

I would also like better control over text width colour vs background colour.
WM2 allowed blinds/fill colour to show paper width much more clearly.

WM2 had the perfect appearance:
