For all their flaws, rank-2 temperaments do have at least one good use case: for isomorphic layouts.

I think this would require big changes to the scale file format, though.

Is this just for funsies and noodling? How do you export such a thing?

Exporting this could use taking a MOS subset or something. I'll move this issue to SonicWeave, SonicWeave Sheets should definitely allow this.

Someone should spec out the best way to noodle and do some layout mockups or link to a proof-of-concept web app that feels right. Once we know what kind of interface we're trying to achieve we can implement scale modifiers and other tools to make it happen.
