Copy/move vm offline between pools

Hello,

I have seen this feature in a perl script that makes some kind of export/import operation between 2 independent pools/server.

I think it would be a great addition to xencenter

I am not a developer and I thing I would be in over my head to try to implement this kind of change by myself.

Can you please look in to implementing this kind of feature?

In 6.1, we introduced "Storage Motion", which is live migration across independent pools, and that is already in XenCenter, so I think that's probably a better solution in most cases.

I know about storage xenmotion, witch is very usefull and does the migration online, but personaly i missed this feature a number of times when I needed to move a vb offline(like Vmware users can)

Maybe you could reconsider it, or is there a features request page, something with a vote, maybe there are more people interested

I think the better solution is to make storage motion work offline. I don't think there is any technical reason preventing this. You might want to suggest it at https://github.com/xapi-project/xen-api.
