Make "hoverLink" property of the visualMap component an input/output property?

Is it possible to make "hoverLink" of the visualMap component an input/output property in order to be able to synchronize visualMap with a custom report (not an echarts report)? That is, I want to use only the visualMap bar and its features with an existing report that is not an echarts report.
