Hello,
Do you think it would be possible to release version 1.10? I would like to use the retention Runtime on some interfaces.

Generally speaking, yes. We have a few details to decide on what actually goes into 1.10 and what would go into a 2.0 (JPMS module declarations, a baseline upgrade to Java 17). The changes in annotation retention will definitely make it into 1.10, though. I think we can do 1.10 early next week.
