Using Spot with premium accounts linked to Facebook

Probably, this isn't the right place to post it, but I think this might interested other Spot users. There is a way to use Spot even if your Spotify account is linked to your Facebook profile.

  1. Login your account at www.spotify.com
  2. Go to your account overview: click on your avatar and go to account;
  3. Go to "Set device password"
  4. Click on the button: "Send email to set password"
  5. Follow the instructions on the email. There you will get an username, which is a long sequence of number, and will be able to setup a password.
  6. Login on spot with the numeric username and the password you have setup at step 5. Voilá!

I'm posting this here since I have seen some users complaining that there is no way to login with Facebook credentials... Hope it helps!

Has Spotify changed? I'm not able to find a device password, I'm part of the family plan, but I'm not the owner of the account, can that be?

I followed this guide:

This Changes allowes you to log in with Email and Password.

  1. Go to Profile and write down Email adress
  2. Goto https://accounts.spotify.com/en/password-reset
  • Put in Email
  • Reset Password
  1. Profit
