Can't open slack user/channel if name contains a period

When a user/channel has a period in their username (i.e. @x.y) the Slack app is opened but does not navigate to the requested message window.

Sorry for the delay. For the issue, characters in the username should not matter as only the slack user ID (e.g.: U02DSQQAV) is used through the Slack protocol to get an instant message opened in the native app.
