I use dataValidation to create drop-down lists in Excel.
But I also need to be able to delete drop-down lists from an Excel which seems to not be supported by openxlsx.

A function that removes drop-down lists created with dataValidation from my Excel sheet.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I unsuccessfully tried to remove drop-down lists by overwriting cells or inserting empty list elements.
