GPL License for extension?

Hi Jeff,
Just wondering if you're completely set on the GPL for this extension.
I would dig to put into luabuild but since it does optional static linking even
LGPL would be an issue.
Not a big issue, really; I don't share the usual anti-GPL sentiment of many Lua
people.

Wow, I can't believe google never sent me any notification about this post!
So sorry, I completely missed it.
I am not a big fan of GPL, but this module incorporates a lot of code by other
authors that was previously released as GPL, so it looks like that's what we're
stuck with.

No problem, Jeff!
Better late than never - actually I'm no license bigot, GPL makes
sense in this case. (And some of lhf's modules are actually GPL
because of source code inclusion, even though he goes by the public
domain release)
