It would be nice to have the ability to control top menu items from the admin panel. Currently, we can disable the Livestreems component in settings, but the Schedules link still will be displayed in the top menu and confuse users.

I'd propose adding to /admin/openy/virtual-ymca a section similar to the "Components Settings" fieldset in the "Virtual YMCA App Settings" fieldset:

  • (draggable) Schedule
    • (checkbox) "Show on the VY Top Menu"
  • (draggable) Favorites
    • (checkbox) "Show on the VY Top Menu"
  • (draggable) Categories
    • (checkbox) "Show on the VY Top Menu"
  • (draggable) Sign out
    • (checkbox) "Show on the VY Top Menu"

@froboy since that is a classic menu, it is better to store it at the drupal menu. We can create Virtual Y menu and put links there.
To do that there is a small problem. In D9 all menu links are cutting content after # sign which is VY router.

@anpolimus I don't see a ticket in Jira for this issue - did we take care of this or is it still open?

@sarah-halby we dont have it now. All links are static now.
