Arguments thrown away

I'm passing arguments to the application but they're being ignored. This is actually breaking since I'm expecting my application to change behavior based on arguments I start from it and it literally doesn't function without it. I could add in a configuration file but that greatly complicates my environment and use of the program as a standalone. I don't know of a technical reason for this and it seems like it tries to pass the parameters. Not sure what's going on here.
