Load google maps page faster (load-maps-faster)

The way google map loads for us is a bit slow. There are two ways to mitigate this:

1. Find a way to load it faster.
2. Create a nice "loading screen", perhaps one that distracts the users with instructions on how to use the app, or neat facts about the app (kind of like video game loading screens).
