False grammar error for words inside Markdown brackets followed by a colon

When working in a Markdown document, I ran into a false positive due to having words within square brackets and a colon right after:

As you can see, this situation causes the parser to treat the words around the colon as if they were joined together. If I replace the colon with a comma, the problem goes away.
