OSError: no file with expected extension

Hi I've been struggling a lot to install your package, I've tried on Windows as well as Linux, I get the same error every time.
OSError: no file with expected extension
I follow the instructions and then I try to run the example test.py.
Can you please clarify what I must do to get past this?
