This repository contains refractive index datasets from the literature that have been prepared for use with optool. Often, authors choose some private format to represent this data. Databases on the web use other formats again.
In this repository, I write small programs to convert them into the
lnk format that is used in optool. With time, I hope to produce
files for many relevant materials and papers.
These are datasets that are already part of the optool distribution,
which contains a carefully selected collection of materials. Not all
materials included in optool have been prepared here, but some have.
In this directory, I do look at and work on new data, before deciding
to convert it and make it available in a form digestible for optool.

A BibTeX library file with entries for the papers where the data is from. You should always give credit to the laboratory papers that present the measured data. All the entries in this file are also present in the optool.bib file in the optool distribution, so for LaTeX processing, it is sufficient to list optool.bib as a BibTeX database file.
