Structure

  • blog/: Simple pages to display annoucements and info about the website, should change name?
  • contests/: app that allows users to take contests
  • problems/: allows users to submit answers to a problemset that contains all the problems on the website
  • semicolon_src/: contains django settings
  • static/: contains global static settings
  • users/: user authentication and profiles

Current goal: work on contests

Each contest needs:

  • Which problems to pull from the problemset
  • Start time and end time
  • Allow users to register
  • Only allow registered users to participate
  • Display a scoreboard of all the users
  • Calculate the scores of each user (based on submission time)
  • Limit number of submissions for each problem (maybe?)
  • Subtract points from a problem for every wrong submission (depends on scoring format?)
