The platform includes features such as networking, selling or renting items, participating in hackathons and codejams, and accessing job listings from LinkedIn and Indeed via API.

Getting Started

Follow these instructions to get a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Ensure you have the following installed:

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Aizen741/CapstoneProject_Group1_sec2_PROG8225.git
    cd CapstoneProject_Group1_sec2_PROG8225
  2. Install dependencies for both frontend and backend:

    For the frontend:

    cd my-react-app
    npm install

    For the backend:

    cd ../backend
    npm install

Running the Application

  1. Start the backend server:

    cd backend
    npm start

    The backend server will start on http://localhost:5000.

  2. Start the frontend application:

    cd ../my-react-app
    npm start

    The frontend will start on http://localhost:3000.
