Oil derrick causes game to crash, server to freeze

Oil derricks, when left unnattended on a server, seem to generate entities even when unloaded. When the chunk loads, the game immediately freezes and crashes and the server freezes and times out afterwards with about 8000 forced entities of entityoilspillfx loading at once.
