Typogra

Typogra is a free theme for subverses on Voat. The theme is based on typography with a focus on whitespace.

License

This theme is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. In order to use the theme, you are required to:

  • provide appropriate credit. Typogra.css is already equipped with a header that meets these standards. If you minify or remove the header in any way, you must credit Nurdoidz (with a link to the profile on Voat).
  • provide a link to the license. This is also included in Typogra.css's header.
  • indicate if changes were made to the theme.

How to Install

  1. Visit the subverse you moderate. On the sidebar at the bottom, click on subverse settings.
  2. Find the form labeled Custom stylesheet and paste the Typogra CSS code.
    • If the style sheet exceeds the character limit Voat allows, use the minified version of the theme, Typogra.min.css. Be sure you follow the license requirements stated in the License section above.
  3. Add any plugins after the pasted theme code. Plugins can be found in the Plugins folder. See the Plugins section for more info.
  4. Click Save!

Plugins

Plugins are pieces of code you can add to the base theme to add functionality. Plugins can be found in the Plugins folder in the root directory and are named a short description of what they do. Additional information is located in the header of the plugin css files.

How to Add a Plugin

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 in the How to Install section above.
  2. Navigate to the Plugins folder on Typogra's Github page.
  3. Open up the plugin .css file you wish to add to Typogra.
  4. Follow the instructions inside the header of the file, if applicable.
  5. Select all of the code in the file and copy it.
  6. Paste the code after where Typogra's base code appears.
