Problem Statement:

Friends and businesses often struggle with the complexities of managing and understanding their bills and invoices. The process of organizing, categorizing, and comprehending bills can be time-consuming, error-prone, and confusing. This often leads to inefficiencies, misunderstandings, and potential disputes.

SimpliClause is an innovative web-based application that streamlines the bill management process, providing users with a structured and clarified representation of their bills. It simplifies the task of organizing and analyzing bills by automating key processes. Users can effortlessly upload their documents, and SimpliClause will extract the relevant information, categorize expenses, and generate clear, user-friendly summaries.

Technical Execution:

SimpliClause is developed as a web application using modern technologies and frameworks such as Vite, Chakra UI , HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Mongodb . The application will leverage OCR libraries and APIs for document processing and data extraction. The backend will handle file storage, data processing, and summary generation, while the frontend will provide an intuitive user interface for bill uploading, dashboard navigation, and category customization

  GET /invoice

for now it will make a call to mongoDB and find the latest entry data, ideally this data would be upload to mongo db after the ai model analyses the document.

Lessons Learned

Figuiring out backend deployment was the trickiest part. Ts was also a challege for us as we had never used it before.
