Our project was driven by a powerful mission: to educate and inspire the next generation by providing a deeper understanding of the universe through the exploration of exoplanets and the stars, fostering curiosity about space and the wonders of astronomy.
The following sections detail the technical components and features of each page, highlighting how we brought this vision to life.
The first feature in our navigation is the βExplore Skyβ button, designed to provide an engaging user experience. Upon clicking this button, users are greeted with a wealth of information about exoplanets..
Once users navigate to the next page, they will encounter a visually appealing display showcasing a variety of exoplanets, each represented by vibrant images and descriptive titles. Users can click and can explore the diverse types of exoplanets available.
When users click on the βNASA Missionβ navigation button, they are directed to a new page showcasing a list of NASA missions specifically focused on exoplanet exploration. Each mission is presented with a brief summary, highlighting its significance and contribution to the study of exoplanets.
When users click on a specific mission, they will be redirected to the official NASA webpage for that mission. This page will provide detailed information, including the mission's start and end dates, its objectives, key discoveries, and the overall purpose of the mission. Users will have access to rich, real-time information directly from NASAβs resources, allowing them to dive deeper into the fascinating work being done in exoplanet exploration.
In this navigation button, users will find the mapping system criteria that allow them to create their own constellations. Using an intuitive interface, users can select stars from a virtual sky map, connecting them to form unique constellations.
Once they've crafted their constellations, they can save them with any name and share their designs with friends.
The βStar Chartβ option contains information about exoplanets that have defined orbits or trajectories.
Users can explore these exoplanets and view their paths, along with additional details about their characteristics and position in relation to other celestial bodies. When users click on the exoplanet it will be redirected to the NASA official webpage and users can see the 3D images of exoplanet.
A notable aspect of "ExoVision" is its structured approach to learning. To unlock advanced features, users are required to explore and understand basic astronomical concepts and star mapping through interactive learning phases. This ensures that users not only enjoy the creative aspects of the tool but also gain a solid foundation in astronomy, making "ExoVision" both an entertaining and educational resource. Ultimately, the platform aims to inspire a new generation of explorers and scientists who are passionate about our cosmos.
