GeoImageOntology is an ontology of Image Artifacts on Geosciences based on the Information Artifact Ontology (https://github.com/information-artifact-ontology/IAO). The ontology defines and organizes the types of image aiming in covering the domain on Geology, Geophysics and Seismic applied to Petroleum E&P. This ontology deals only with the types of artifact that represent geological objects, but not the geological object itself, which must be associated through the relationship refer to.
