Welcome to the Face Attendance in an Organization project using Tkinter! This application aims to simplify the attendance management process within an organization by using facial recognition technology. Attendance records will be marked in a separate marksheet that includes the register number, name, date, and time.
The Face Attendance in an Organization project using Tkinter provides a user-friendly way to manage attendance through facial recognition. This application streamlines the process of tracking attendance and ensures accurate records by linking them to the individual's face.
-
Facial Recognition: The application employs facial recognition algorithms to identify individuals, making the attendance process quick and reliable.
-
Marksheet Generation: Attendance records are marked in a separate marksheet that includes the individual's register number, name, date, and time.
-
User-Friendly Interface: The user interface is developed using Tkinter, providing a familiar and easy-to-use environment for both employees and administrators.
-
Real-time Updates: Attendance records are instantly updated in the marksheet upon recognition, enabling real-time monitoring.
-
Data Security: The application securely stores facial data and attendance records, adhering to strict data security and privacy standards.
Follow these instructions to set up and use the Face Attendance system in your organization.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/Face-Attendance-in-an-Organization.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd Face-Attendance-in-an-Organization
- Install the required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Run the application:
python main.py
- The application window will appear, providing options for employees and administrators.
- Employees can register their facial data and start marking attendance.
- Administrators can view the attendance marksheet, which includes register number, name, date, and time.
The Face Attendance system using Tkinter captures facial images through a webcam, processes these images to extract facial features, and then compares them with the registered facial data. Here's a brief overview of the process:
-
Face Registration: Employees' facial data is registered during the onboarding process. Multiple images are captured to create a detailed facial profile.
-
Attendance Marking: When an employee wants to mark attendance, they stand in front of a designated camera. The application captures their facial image.
-
Facial Recognition: The captured image is compared with the registered facial data using advanced recognition algorithms. If a match is found, the attendance is marked in the marksheet.
-
Marksheet Generation: The attendance marksheet is updated in real-time, including the individual's register number, name, date, and time of attendance.
- Frontend: Tkinter (Python GUI library)
- Facial Recognition: OpenCV, Dlib
- Web Camera Integration: OpenCV
