Before you begin, ensure you have the following installed on your system:
- Node.js
- npm (Node Package Manager)
- MongoDB
- Docker (optional, for containerization)
- Kubernetes (optional, for orchestration)
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/BoddepallyVenkatesh06/Full-Stack-Job-Portal.git
cd full-stack-job-portal
- Install frontend dependencies:
cd client
npm install
- Install backend dependencies:
cd ../server
npm install
- Start the MongoDB server (if not using Docker):
mongod
- Start the backend server:
cd server
npm start
- Start the frontend development server:
cd ../client
npm start
- Build the frontend for production:
cd client
npm run build
- Start the backend server in production mode:
cd ../server
NODE_ENV=production npm start
- Build and run the Docker containers:
docker-compose up --build
