Rime is intended to be a Vim-like text editor. Main frameworks are Ratatui, Crossterm and Clap.
Right now, Rime has :
- simple Undo/ Redo
- some basic commands such as tabnew, write, quit, all...
- some synthax highlighting for .rs files
- cursor and scrolling still have some issues
It's imporatant to notice that you need cargo to build the project. If you did not installed Rust, you should take a look on there website.
cargo run -- [FILE_NAME...]
# Note that you can use clap feature for help
cargo run --help
There are certain shortcuts that are worth to note here:
- Alt + [i | j | k | l] work like arrows
- u for undo
- Shift + r for redo
- esc for switching to select mode
- i for swithching to page mode (write)
- : for switching to command mode (only available in select mode)
Available commands:
- w for write
- q for quite (need to be used to quit app in main mode)
- a for all
