A simple script (made in batch) to affix ad server addresses to hosts and remove ads on Spotify. If you'd like to use this file, follow these simple steps to get started.
- Download adscript.exe
- Launch adscript.exe
- Read the warnings attached to the beginning of the file
- Press Y every time a "do you want to overwrite this file?" message comes up (this is planned)
- Wait until the file is done writing
- Enjoy ad-free spotify!
(Optionally you can download adscript.bat and edit the script, but you'll need to run it in administrator mode)

NOTA BENE: Please be aware that this can cause problems with Spotify playback, notably songs stopping after ~10 seconds, songs refusing to play despite showing up, and some tracks randomly skipping. If this happens to you, run patch.bat, restart your computer and Spotify, then re-install adscript.exe. If this does not work, ensure that all of your hosts file is empty, then use BlockTheSpot instead, as it does not use the hosts-based ad blocking, which Spotify seems to have partially fixed. Thanks!
