This is an Android app that was created as a final project for CMPUT 301. The goal of the app is to provide a unique and exciting game where users can scan any QR code and be awarded points based on the rarity of the code. Users can discover other users and the QR codes they have scanned, as well as nearby QR codes and associated landmarks. Additionally, users can add comments to each QR code they scan. The app respects the privacy of the user's location and prompts for permission whenever location information is recorded and sent to Google Firebase. The app is built with Java, Gradle, and Google Firebase and does not store QR code images, ensuring that users can scan any QR code without worrying about privacy concerns.
