Set sprite mode to multiple if you are using a sprite sheet. Set filter mode to point for pixel art. Pixel per units set to 16. Set Compression to None for pixel art.
use grid by cell size in the sprite editor to cut up the sprite sheet. Added two new sorting layers. Player and background. The items on the bottom of the sorting layer list will appear on the top.
