GTM Template Variable: Query Parameter Stripping Utility

Introduction

This variable will help reduce cardinality issues with GA4 properties due high volume websites that also use query parameters.

Select "Exclude All Parameters" to ignore all parameters exept ones provided in the whitelist field
Select "Exclude Certain Parameters" if you want to select which parameter to exclude
Provide the variable that will have query parameters, eg. Page URL
Check "Force to Lowercasae" if you want to reduce cardinality
Configure "Lower case exclusions" for allowed parameters that are case sensitive
Reference variable in the GA4 config tag (eg. page_location), must be a valid URL
