Welcome to the official repository of FirstPersonCamera, a mod for Cities Skylines 2 that enhances your gameplay experience by providing a smoother and more realistic first-person camera controller.
- First-Person Camera Mode: Immerse yourself in your city like never before with a first-person view.
- Easy Toggle: Activate or deactivate the camera mode with a simple shortcut -
CTRL+F
. - Sprinting: Use
LEFT SHIFT
to increase movement speed. - Follow Mode: Hold the
right mouse button
whilst in first person, you can now see highlighted entities when you hover them. Release the right mouse button to then follow that entity. Moving with theWASD
keys will go into manual mode. - Enhanced Realism: Experience a more realistic view compared to the standard photo mode camera in the vanilla game.
- Make sure you have Cities Skylines 2 installed.
- This mod requires BepInEx v5. Install it before proceeding.
- Download the mod from the Releases section on this GitHub page or from Thunderstore.io.
- Download the
FirstPersonCamera.dll
file from the official sources. - Place the file into your
Cities Skylines 2/BepInEx/plugins
folder. - Run the game, and use
CTRL+F
to toggle the first-person camera mode.
After installation, simply press CTRL+F
during gameplay to switch to the first-person camera mode. Press again to revert to the default camera.
This mod is designed to be compatible with most other Cities Skylines 2 mods. However, if you encounter any issues, please report them in the Issues section.

The follow mode is experimental and at the moment will not move perfectly in sync with fast moving vehicles. This is something I will look to resolve in the future.
