For increased visibility as well as ease-of-use, I would like to properly package and document this project and upload it to the Unity Asset Store.
will it be free on asset store?
will it be free on asset store?
Yes it will!!
Do not register or apply for registration of, and do not use, Unity Trademarks (or any confusingly similar Trademarks or translations or transliterations) for your business, your products, or your services, nor as any social media name or handle (e.g., hashtag) or as any part of any domain name.

We probably have to rename the project to Coplay MCP or something else, we're not allowed to use Unity's name in a product
Maybe we can ask some folks at Unity if they will make an exception since it's open source and benefits them. I'm any case, I would hold off changing unless we're asked?
Particularly on the asset store, we can't use "Unity" in the name. As the error message states "for Unity". But being called "Unity MCP" (understandably) makes it seem like we're affiliated with Unity when we're not.
We don't need to change this repo's name's to be on the asset store unless they tell us to stop. However:
- The namespace has to change, we cannot upload with "Unity" in the namespace #222
- The menu item and window's title would have to be changed as well to pass the human review
Looks like we publish as "MCP for Unity". That also works for the package name. Re-iterating, this repo's name will stay the same, but we're changing so we can publish on the asset store. How's that sound to you all?
Or, just a suggestion, make it little more creative like "MCP-U" or something similar? I'm good with the current name Marcus proposed alsoπ
Unity is good to have in the name for SEO and clarity of what the product is, unless they tell us to change it. No one is making money off it directly and it's open source, so I doubt it's high on their list of concerns at this point. Good to not proactively do something that could hurt it if we don't need to.

Created some more tickets based on feedback from Unity. Big changes ahead π
