In this project, let's build a Read More/Less by applying the concepts we have learned till now.

  • Download dependencies by running npm install
  • Start up the app using npm start

Completion Instructions

Functionality to be added

The app must have the following functionalities

  • When the app is opened,

    • The text should be shortened to the first one hundred and seventy characters from the given reactHooksDescription and should be displayed
    • Read More button should be displayed
  • When the Read More button is clicked,

    • The total text from the given reactHooksDescription should be displayed
    • Read Less button should be displayed
  • When the Read Less button is clicked,

    • The text should be shortened to the first one hundred and seventy characters from the given reactHooksDescription and should be displayed
    • Read More button should be displayed
  • The ReadMoreReadLess component receives the reactHooksDescription as a prop with String data type

  • Styled Components should be used for styling purposes
  • Roboto should be applied as font-family for React Hooks heading

Things to Keep in Mind

  • All components you implement should go in the src/components directory.
  • Don't change the component folder names as those are the files being imported into the tests.
