This project is a virtual reality experience developed in Unreal Engine for the Oculus Quest 2. It allows users to immerse themselves in a VR environment where their right hand transforms into a sword. The sword can be controlled using gesture recognition, enabling the user to cut objects within the virtual world. Please note that OpenXR support needs to be enabled in developer mode to use this project. Additionally, the MetaXR plugin is required for optimal functionality.

Note: This project is currently in the early stages of development and will continue to be improved upon in future iterations.

Setup and Installation

  1. Enable Developer Mode on your Oculus Quest 2 device.
  2. Install the latest version of Unreal Engine.
  3. Clone this repository to your local machine.
  4. Open the project in Unreal Engine.
  5. Connect your Oculus Quest 2 to your development machine.
  6. Enable OpenXR support in the project settings.
  7. Install the MetaXR plugin.
  8. Build and deploy the project to your Oculus Quest 2 device.
  9. Put on your Oculus Quest 2 headset and start the VR Sword Cutting Experience.
