Make Centroid (Pick and Place) files available

For some reason I am unable to open the Kicad project to create a centroid file as I am not sure how to get it from github in a non text file format. Kicad is new to me so this may be my issue, but I still think it is a good idea to upload some centroid/pickandplace files in the form of a csv file for easily getting it pre soldered from pcb manufacturers like PCBWay or JLPCB.
For some reason when I downloaded the whole project natively the kicad files seemed to be corrupted or something and would not open in kicad, however when I downloaded on a separate device and moved it over via usb drive they seem to be fine. I have no idea. I still think having the centroid files in a csv on the repository would be nice though since it may circumvent any similar witchcraft in the future and simply provide greater ease of access.
