Welcome to the official repository for WoW-Lang, a comprehensive project dedicated to translating World of Warcraft's vast content into multiple languages, not supported by Blizzard. Our goal is to make the game accessible and enjoyable for players around the world, no matter what language they speak.
WoW-Lang offers a suite of modules that translate various aspects of the game, including:
🗺️ Quests: Fully translated quest titles, descriptions, objectives, and rewards.
💬 Speech Bubbles: Understand what NPCs are saying with translated speech bubbles.
🎥 Movie Subtitles: Enjoy cinematics and in-game movies with translated subtitles.
📚 Tutorials: Learn the game mechanics with translated tutorials and help tips.
🖥️ User Interface: Navigate menus and tooltips with translated text.
📖 Books: Immerse yourself in the lore with translated in-game books.
- Download the specific language addon you need (such as WoWAR for Arabic, WoWPL for Polish, or WoWTR for Turkish) from CurseForge or from the Releases page on GitHub.
- Extract the downloaded zip file into your WoW
Interface/AddOnsdirectory. - Launch World of Warcraft and enable the specific language addon (WoWAR, WoWPL, WoWTR, etc.) in the AddOns menu.
Each language addon offers a comprehensive configuration panel accessible through the game's interface options. You can customize:
- Addon activation for different modules (quests, bubbles, subtitles, etc.)
- Font size for translated text
- Saving untranslated texts to contribute to the project
- Integration with other popular addons like Immersion, StoryLine, and Classic Quest Log
