This is a simple Java implementation of the Schulze voting system with a command-line interface.
If you are searching for a voting software with much more functionality and a graphical user interface, you should give OpenSTV (Single Transferable Vote and Instant Runoff Voting Software) a try.
You can get more Background information at various sources:
- Schulze voting method at Wikipedia,
- A Survey of Basic Voting Methods by James Green-Armytage,
- Condorcet method and more specific Schulze method at Electowiki,
- Benutzerleitfaden für Wahlen und Abstimmungen nach dem Verfahren des Paarweisen Vergleichs by Demokratie von unten (in german).
It has no further dependencies except for Java 6 or later.
If you have Apache Ant installed, just type
ant dist
to compile the source and
ant run
to execute the program.
