Exoplanet-Simulation

This project seeks to simulate the atmospheric and surfacic temperature maps that would occur on exoplanets. We plan on taking into account the type of star and the orbit's profile as well as seasonal shift from axial tilt and what would happen on tidally locked planets.

GalaxyCollision

This Python project's goal is to model the collision of multiple galaxies through the use of an optimized N-Body problem engine.

HYG-STAR-MAP

This project's goal is to create a 3D Star map from HYG data as well as eventually create a HR diagramm and other pretty plots.

This instrumentation project was realized by Nina Moëllo, Maxime Thumin and Enguerran Vidal during a study bureau mandatory for our bachelor degree third year under the supervision of M. Hassan SABBAH. It consisted of a peer-review like project where we had to characterize a complicated set of juxtaposed coaxial cables made in such a way tat they model a photonic crystal.

EnguerranVidal/California-Wildfires

Pine forests in Mediterranean climate zones tend to be subject to bursts of wildfires that they usually rely on to regenerate themselves, killing larger trees to make way for new generations of pines. This is especially true in the state of California where these wildfires happen regularly each year. However, due to anthropogenic climate change, the severity, frequency, and total area burnt have heavily increased year by year, leading to disastrous environmental consequences. This culminated last year in summer of 2020 when California saw its most extreme wildfires season on record, with over 41000 square kilometers of burnt land from hundreds of wildfire starts. These wildfires can be tracked through the study of carbon monoxide levels above ground coming from the incomplete combustion of shrubs, dry leaves, and wood. This translates to a greater contribution to the overall CO levels above USA mainland in summer of 2020 which we plan on studying throughout this project.

This repository focuses on studying and showcasing interesting patterns emerging from simple rules random motion algorithms. It contains a Conway's Game of life made in Python and a second algorithm for an animation of random walk algorithms on a 2D plane.

EnguerranVidal/NBodies-Problem-Solver

This project vows to achieve the creation of a physics simulation of the solution for the N-Bodies problem. The main Python class will choose a randomized distribution of massive bodies and will let them evolve, calculating their positions at the next time-step using the Barnes-Hut method in 2D or in 3D. This verison of the project is currently using Numpy elements but does not use it to calculate the next time-step positions. I will work in an optimized version in the future using Numpy and Cupy in order to get GPU-driven calculations.
