U-NITy
U-NITy is an app made for the wellbeing of students who are suffering from mental stress and depression.
This app lets the student consult a health expert having an option for anonymity and can share the problem that he/she is facing be it any discrimination in their institution or be it coping up with stress.
This app also acts as a fundraiser for students in need in an institution where other can contribute to them.
PROBLEM::
->According to India Today Survey 58% of Indian college students experienced a significant increase in their stress levels and severe deterioration in their emotions of anger, anxiety, loneliness, hopelessness, and happiness.
-> #According to 2018 and 2019 student surveys from the American College Health Association (ACHA), about 60% of respondents felt "overwhelming" anxiety, while 40% experienced depression so severe they had difficulty functioning.
->Mental health is as important as physical health. Mental health includes a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how a person thinks, feels, and also acts.

->We can integrate with the colleges around the globe .The colleges can assign a common code to their counsellors within the institution, who can help the students in resolving their issues and the difficulties faced by them.

->College Administration provide the counsellors with unique code through which they can login through unique college IDs
-> Students are able to login through their official college ids only..
->Firebase Authentication
->Our project uses Firebase Authentication to validate the users (students & counsellors) on the basis of their valid college email ID.
->Firebase Authentication aims to make building secure authentication easy, while improving the sign-in and onboarding experience for our end users.
->Using Firebase allows us to avoid any fraudulent or fake sign-ins which could potentially lead to a unsatisfactory user experience and lead to exploitation of the platform. Firebase solves this problem.
CURRENT SITUATION
->With the outbreak of covid-19 in the world schools, colleges and universities have shut down, some for more than a year which has led to student being on their own.
->A major cause of depression and stress among the students is the feeling of being being left out or being cut-off from the rest of the world, locked in their rooms.
->This is often accompanied by the inability to express themselves to others or to share the problems they are facing.
->Community Feed
->Dedicated feed for users where they can share their daily experiences, each feed having a “like” button and feature to delete their post .
->When a student will update the feed by adding a new post, a push notification will be generated using Microsoft Azure.
Memes
->Students can also share the meme they are interested in via any messaging platform and increase traction.
