JHash, an advanced Java (freedom) library for generate hash

JHash was created as a personal challenge to simplify hash generation in Java, includes both synchronous and asynchronous api to allow the user to choose the most optimized according to need.

Attention, this library only supports Java 10

Hash algorithms currently supported:

  - Blake2b 160

  - Blake2b 256

  - Blake2b 384

  - Blake2b 512

  - Md2

  - Md5

  - Sha1

  - Sha256

  - Sha384

  - Sha512

Examples

Get SHA256 hash hex encoded of "hello" (Sync request)

var hex = new Sha256sum("Hello").getHex();
System.out.printf("%s\n", hex);

Get Blake2B-384 hash hex encoded of file "/home/jhash/archlinux-2018.05.01-x86_64.iso" with java.nio (ASync request)

var path = Paths.get("/home/jhash/archlinux-2018.05.01-x86_64.iso");
new JHash(new Blake2b384sum(path)).execute((hex, bytes) -> System.out.println(hex));

Get MD2 hash hex encoded of file "/home/jhash/archlinux-2018.05.01-x86_64.iso" (ASync request)

Build

Build JHash is very simple, just follow this guide which will explain the compilation only for operating systems GNU/Linux (or Unix) based, no guaranteed support for windows

Requirements

• Gradle installed in your machine (or use Gradle wrapper included in the project)
• Java 10 JDK installed correctly on your computer

Build

• Check Java version

java --version

• Clone JHash repository

git clone https://github.com/ErnyTech/JHash.git
cd JHash

• Start Gradle build without all DEPENDENCIES

gradle jar

• Start Gradle build with all DEPENDENCIES

gradle fatJar

• Go to JHash jars

cd build/libs
ls
