Making journal articles more FAIR with CiTO nanopublications

This recipe would describe how to use nanopublications to define Citation Typing Ontology intention annotations to citations from from thing-with-a-DOI to a another-thing-with-a-DOI, such as journal articles. It would use a new nanopublication template is UX and explain how SPARQL can extract the citation for downstream reuse. cc @tkuhn

If you needed to add a task to the list below, please think about amending the issue template: https://github.com/FAIRplus/the-fair-cookbook/blob/migrating/.github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/meta-checklist.md
Great! Now, to the actual tasks:

  • identify author
  •  write abstract
  • agree with editors on abstract
  • write recipe
  • identify reviewer
  • conduct review
  • incorporate reviewer's comments
  • publish recipe

I would draft the first version of this recipe.

Last week, at the Open Science Retreat I ran a trial session to learn what users need to know, and this is reflected in this write up: https://chem-bla-ics.linkedchemistry.info/2024/04/02/open-science-retreat-2.html

This write up sketches more or less what needs to be in the recipe in tutorial form.
