Every time wii remote is disconnected it causes a driver error on the Bluetooth HID device

The wii remote connects fine and everything works when it's connected with the API, but after I disconnect I immediately get a driver error and have to uninstall and restart my computer before connecting the wii remote with Bluetooth again. I've tried this on multiple computers and it's happened on all of them, has anyone else encountered this issue?
