A WordPress plugin that adds image previews to ACF Flexible Content layouts in the WordPress admin. This plugin allows you to dynamically manage layout previews by uploading images for each layout type and adjusting the size of preview images directly from the WordPress admin settings.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin:

    • Clone the repository or download the latest release.

  2. Upload to WordPress:

    • Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

  3. Activate the Plugin:

    • In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and activate ACF Flexible Content Preview Images.

Usage

Upload Preview Images

  1. Go to ACF Preview Images in the WordPress admin sidebar.
  2. Add the ACF Flexible Content layout names (field names) and upload corresponding preview images for each.
  3. Adjust the image size (width and height) as desired.
  4. Save the changes.

Display Preview Images in ACF

  • When adding ACF Flexible Content layouts, hover over the layout options to see the corresponding preview images.
  • Image previews are dynamically displayed based on the field names added in the settings.

Settings

ACF Flexible Field Hover Settings

  • Add Layout Field Name: Add the name of each layout as it appears in ACF.
  • Upload Preview Image: Select or upload a preview image for each layout.
  • Set Image Size: Adjust the width and height of the preview images directly from the settings page.

Requirements

  • WordPress Version: 5.0 or higher
  • ACF Pro: This plugin works with ACF Pro (Advanced Custom Fields) Flexible Content Field.
