Fields with long character strings

Certain fields, e.g. Countries or CountryISO, have cells with long character strings. However, they are cut off at the threshold of 254 characters.
Fix reading the inventory? Alternativ way of storing those cells or fields?

Addressed the issue in the sf-community. See r-spatial/sf#1951
Cannot be dealt with now. Probably will be considered for a new inventory version release.
