Literature review

A review of the literature to figure out where things stand in stethoscope research and design.

Tarek also assigned.

Azad,

I don't think we want "cutting edge". instead, I think we want to keep whatever design we make covered under current, expired patents.

I think this is reasonable, since most problems in stethoscope design have been solved, and most of the current research has to do with electronic stethoscopes and amplification techniques.

that was just a name, intended to be a bit ironic. What is the
difference between the patent search and the lit search then?

I think it's a bit arbitrary, but a lit search, as you note, would pull strategies out of the literature for things like design, testing, and maybe help identify problems in the field or give formulae for things like best curve for a bell, etc.

Perhaps collecting the results into a Zotero shared account is the best way to do this?

Last time I tried this with Zotero it wanted me to syn my entire
library. It would not allow syncing of specific folders etc. Have you
actually made this work before?

This is now off topic. I've put instructions on Zotero here:

Also, I changed the literature review page to be more simple:

I know how to share a zotero library. The problem is that I don't want
to sync my entire library (it's very large) and I can't figure out how
to only share a subset.
