Note: Run Backend First and then frontend due to some port issues. Say yes if React wants to use some other port as current is already being used (To Be Resolved)
Raw pictures for database are already part of repo so all you need to do is import collections.
-
Create database of your choice of name on MongoDB atlast (or shell), Database url will most probably be mongodb://localhost:27017/yourDatabaseName (assuming no login required in url). This will be needed later when setting up backend.
-
import the collections present in mongodb_setup to your created database. This will be the initial setup. Password for users is 123123123123. Look at user login details by browsing through mongodb atlas
-
cd into the ~/backend folder.
-
create a file inside backend called .env if not already created and add these
DB_URL='mongodb://localhost:27017/restaurant' JWT_PRIVATE_KEY='SEproj_jwtPrivateKey' PORT=3000
you can change DB_URL with the the mongo url you are using eg. "mongodb://localhost/Project".
-
after that you will run "npm install" if you just pulled or cloned the remote repo. Otherwise not needed.
-
after that you will run "npm start".
-
this will run the backend program.
-
cd into the ~/webapp folder.
-
make sure you have yarn installed.
-
open terminal and run "yarn install".
-
after yarn has finished downloading all the necessary items.
-
run "yarn start".
-
the webapp will run and will give you an address that you can open in your browser.
